Could C.J. Stroud Miss Week 2? 🤕
Plus, Breece Hall to remain on a snap count vs Dallas – and Zack Moss returns to Colts backfield!
All of the most important fantasy news over the last 24 hours – all in one place.
Jets RB Breece Hall to remain on snap count in Week 2 vs. Cowboys
This would be concerning if we didn’t watch him average 12.7 yards per carry on 10 touches in Week 1 against a perfectly capable Bills defense. With Hall still working his way back to 100% and Dalvin Cook available to shoulder the load, anticipate this being the norm for the next few weeks still. Both Dalvin Cook and Hall will be startable on an every-week basis, especially now considering that the Jets will likely lean on the run game more heavily with Zach Wilson under center than they would have with Aaron Rodgers. Hall has a tough matchup against Dallas in Week 2, but he’s a perfectly fine flex play.
Texans QB C.J. Stroud appears on injury report, is questionable for Sunday vs. Colts with shoulder injury
Stroud hardly lit the world on fire with his play in Week 1, but nobody was expecting that either. Storud appeared on the practice report late in the week (yesterday), and has officially been listed as questionable. Fantasy managers should be prepared to be without Stroud in their lineups in superflex and 2QB formats, but this injury shouldn’t affect the landscape too much in standard 1QB leagues. It’s also worth mentioning that the injury is to his throwing shoulder, which could influence the way the Texans coaching staff handles Stroud’s recovery and lengthen any potential time missed as a result.
Colts RB Zack Moss is removed from Indianapolis’ injury report, will play Sunday vs. Texans
After an incredibly dismal showing in Week 1 from Deon Jackson and a trip to injured reserve for rookie Evan Hull, Moss is the last running back in Indianapolis with any real intrigue going into Week 2. Keep in mind that Moss was the projected starter once Taylor was placed on IR, but his forearm injury pushed prevented him from playing throughout training camp and into the regular season. Moss should see a significant workload against the Texans, making him worth flex consideration in lineups this week.
