Deja Vu: Josh Jacobs Pulls a Saquon! 😂

His fantasy managers can rest easy – but can the same be said for Kadarius Toney?

All of the most important fantasy news over the last 24 hours – all in one place.

  • Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ends his holdout, signs new 1-year, $12M deal just two weeks ahead of Week 1

    • Jacobs enters 2023 in the same situation as Saquon Barkley, and on a very similar deal. As of today, no running back has been able to overcome the current RB market. That’s a conversation to be had on a different day, but historically, a running back being franchise tagged has done great things for fantasy. Jacobs re-assumes his role as the Raiders RB1 on an offense that will likely once again feature a heavy dose of him in the ground game. As things stand, Jacobs’ ADP is extremely deflated – but the anticipation should be that it moves up in a hurry with just two weeks to go ahead of the regular season.

  • Chiefs HC Andy Reid says that WR Kadarius Toney could return to practice in a week

    • Toney has missed the majority of training camp and all of this preseason with a knee injury, which he had surgery on shortly after going down. While Toney’s status for Week 1 remains largely up in the air, this report does provide some optimism that he could be ready to suit up for the Chiefs’ season opener in Week 1. However, as we’ve become accustomed to doing with Toney over the course of his short career, it’s important to temper expectations for him coming off his injury if he would play in the Thursday night opener. With little time to reintegrate into the Chiefs offense ahead of the season opener, there’s the chance that Toney isn’t fully healthy and up to speed in the Chiefs offense once again until a few weeks into 2023.
