Noah Brown listed as DNP on Friday 🥲
Plus, Dalton Schultz is OUT – and it'll be Joe Flacco under center in Cleveland this week!
All of the most important fantasy news over the last 24 hours – all in one place.
Browns expected to start QB Joe Flacco on Sunday with Dorian Thompson Robinson slated to miss Week 13 with concussion
This has been the understanding all week, but we now have confirmation that it will be everyone’s favorite statue under center this week for Cleveland against the Rams. As we mentioned earlier this week in our stat of the day column, Flacco has hyper-targeted his WR1 in the past – last year on the Jets, Garrett Wilson earned 12.5 targets per game through four Flacco starts. While Flacco might be a slight upgrade over DTR in terms of his accuracy, he lacks the mobility necessary to truly make this Browns offense threatening. Fantasy managers should temper expectations this week for the likes of Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, and David Njoku, the latter of which was having a nice stretch of games with DTR at the controls.
Texans WR Noah Brown misses practice Friday, remains questionable for Sunday’s game vs Broncos
Brown had participated in practice in a limited fashion this week already on Wednesday and Thursday, so being downgraded on Friday to a DNP doesn’t bode well for his chances of playing this weekend. It would be the third game in a row that Brown would miss due to a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Tank Dell is expected to play despite being listed as questionable and participating in limited fashion all week as well. TE Dalton Schultz has also officially been ruled out for the game, meaning it will likely be another top heavy target distribution for Dell and Collins against a beatable Broncos secondary. Fantasy managers can trust Dell and Collins as safe WR2s with plenty of upside, but should expect to be without the services of Noah Brown at this point considering he’s trending in the wrong direction these past 24 hours.
