  • Chiefs WR Rashee Rice reportedly connected to serious car accident over the weekend in Dallas

    • The situation regarding the Kansas City pass catcher is still developing, but it’s not a good look regardless for the very promising second-year player. As details emerge about the event, we’ll have a better idea about what to expect for Rice in the coming weeks and months, as well as whether or not the NFL will hand down any form of punishment. Rice is reportedly cooperating with authorities as they get to the bottom of what happened and his potential involvement. For the time being, the primary concern is the health of those involved in the crash, but the fantasy implications could linger into the beginning of the 2024 season should Rice get hit with any type of suspension as a result of the incident. He ended the season strong in 2023, but a potential absence early next year could help to inflate the values of both TE Travis Kelce and the recently acquired WR Marquise Brown. Whatever you do, do not panic sell Rashee Rice in dynasty. It might seem bad right now, but this is a situation to buy from a panicked manager - not sell.

  • Cowboys, free agent RB Ezekiel Elliott have mutual interest in a reunion for 2024

    • What an ironic reunion it would be between the Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott. With Zeke’s supposed replacement Tony Pollard out the door on his way to Tennessee, Dallas has been left incredibly thin at running back heading into the 2024 draft. Meanwhile, Zeke tested the waters in New England and for the most part held his own, filling in for the injured Rhamondre Stevenson in the back half of 2023 as admirably as a 28-year old can. He’ll be 29 in August, but given the history between Elliott and Prescott as well as the Jones family, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Zeke back in the silver and white for what could be Dak’s final year as the Cowboys starting QB in 2024. Pollard was nowhere near as efficient in his lone year as the Cowboys’ starter in 2023 as he was in 2022 running behind Elliott, so it’s not like the Cowboys passing game (and in effect, Ceedee Lamb) will suffer terribly without a potent run game to complement it, but Zeke is well past his prime and wouldn’t profile as anything more than a volume-based RB2 at best in a pass-first Cowboys offense.

  • Packers WR Christian Watson reportedly has worked in tandem with a ‘special lab’ to address his recurring hamstring issue

    • Will seeing the hamstring soothesayer finally cure Christian Watson of his hamstring issues? Only time will tell – but at this point, nothing else has seemed to work for the third-year receiver and resorting to unconventional measures suddenly doesn’t seem so farfetched. The WR room quickly became crowded down the stretch for Green Bay in 2023, with rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks staking their claims as legit weapons for Jordan Love alongside Watson and his fellow 2022 classmate Romeo Doubs. With time on his rookie deal running down and plenty of viable alternatives in the Packers’ offense, the clock is ticking for Watson to prove he’s durable enough to be a consistent contributor to the Green Bay offense. Considering the number of weapons in the receiving game he’ll be competing with, Watson likely won’t sniff legit WR1 territory in 2024 barring a second breakout of epic proportions paired with streak of games unblemished by injury.
