Time to Panic on Anthony Richardson? 😲
It wasn't a pretty showing for the second week in a row from the sophomore signal caller...
It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time to roll on over to the waiver wire and make your bids and claims. Check out Tyler’s waiver wire article over on our website if you haven’t already; CLICK HERE to start reading!
Steelers RB Najee Harris spotted with arm in a sling in the Pittsburgh locker room as a result of an apparent injury
Harris wasn’t tagged with any type of injury designation following the Steelers’ Week 3 win vs the Chargers, but having his right arm in a sling the day after suggests that the Steelers’ top two running backs could be dealing with injuries in the coming weeks. Harris handled the majority of the work in the ground game over both Cordarrelle Patterson and Jaylen Warren, the latter of whom will be getting an MRI on his knee this week to determine the severity of the injury he sustained on Sunday. Should both Warren and Harris be sidelined, Arthur Smith’s favorite running back Patterson would be in line for a considerable role out of the Pittsburgh backfield. The Steelers have been one of the most run-heavy offenses so far this season, which is likely by design to keep Justin Fields playing on schedule. It’ll be interesting to see if the gameplan shifts at all with Warren and Harris potentially missing time – however, fantasy managers would be best served to wait for a more revealing report later in the week ahead of their Week 4 tilt against the Colts.
Raiders HC Antonio Pierce suggests QB Aidan O’Connell could start for the team in Week 4 vs Browns
One week after Gardner Minshew led the team to victory over the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium, the same Minshew-quarterbacked team got absolutely dog walked by the Andy Dalton-led Panthers on their home turf. That was apparently enough of an offense to HC Antonio Pierce to shake the foundation of Minshew’s status as the team’s starter heading into Week 4, and all indications seem to point to the team’s starter currently being undecided ahead of their game against the Browns this upcoming weekend. Through three games, Minshew has thrown for as many touchdowns as he has interceptions (3) while posting a mediocre 13.56 fantasy points per game – good for the overall QB20 on the season. More notable, however, has been the up and down production of WR Davante Adams (10.9, 26.0, and 8.0 PPR points in three starts this season) and TE Brock Bowers (11.8, 18.8, 7.1 PPR points from Weeks 1-3 this year). While it’s unlikely that Aidan O’Connell will provide the spark that Pierce is looking for in his offense, a change under center seems to be in the cards this week and could complicate the target distribution moving forward. The anticipation has been that Minshew and O’Connell could trade blows all season long since the Raiders were unable to draft a top signal caller back in April, and Vegas could be relegated to fantasy purgatory as a result of a lack of continuity under center.
It’s ‘difficult to envision’ Dolphins backup QB Skylar Thompson being able to take the field any time soon, per the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson
As if the step down from from Tua to Skylar Thompson wasn’t steep enough, just wait until you see how bad things can get going from Skylar Thompson to potentially Tim Boyle. The last time we saw Boyle draw a start was last season on Black Friday, where he tossed two interceptions to go along with a touchdown and 179 yards passing on 38 attempts against the very Dolphins team he’s now part of. Not exactly an inspiring performance then, and certainly not encouraging should he end up suiting up for Miami in Week 4. With Thompson sidelined, the Dolphins offense is likely to fall into even further disarray unless Tyler Huntley is able to swoop in and get the thumbs up from HC Mike McDaniel as the starter. Regardless of who’s quarterback in the meantime as Tua makes his recovery from his concussion, the Dolphins’ offensive weapons will be very difficult to trust in lineups after Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De’Von Achane posted duds across the board in a workable matchup against the Seahawks. Fantasy managers should temper expectations heavily or scour the waiver wire/trade market for potential replacements until Tua gets back.
JK Dobbins’ backfield share increasing
Even though it didn’t show in the box score, Dobbins’ opportunity share increased from around 50% over the first two weeks to a whopping 86% on Sunday. This could mean an increased floor and ceiling for him moving forward.
Bucky Irving gaining ground on Rachaad White
It’s going to be pretty tough to keep Irving off the field on early downs, particularly in the run game when he has another efficient day on the ground taking his 9 carries for 70 yards. White is averaging 2.13 YPC compared to Irving’s 6.16 this season, so expect him to continue to take work away from White moving forward. Todd Bowles has confirmed this morning that he will.
Malik Nabers cannot be stopped
Going into Cleveland and having the performance he did (8/78/2) gives Nabers the overall WR1 crown going into Week 4. He’s currently leading all WRs with 38% target share, 58% air yards share, and fantasy points. Stud.
Bears passing game showing life
We have to take it with a grain of salt when it’s against the Colts defense, but 363 passing yards and 2 TDs for Caleb Williams while providing all three of his main receivers with big days is worth noting and something to build on. Great to see Rome Odunze breaking out with a 6/112/1 performance.

Anthony Richardson still developing
It was extremely tough watching Richardson missing routine and layup throws all game long. He’s not a seasoned starter, but he will continue to get opportunities to improve. The hope is that his play caller puts him in the best position to succeed, fully acknowledging that it’s not easy to do. That being said, he’s still going to provide some massive fantasy days, so he’s still tough to bench. He is definitely not a high floor option at QB right now, especially against Pittsburgh next week.
Jaylen Warren getting MRI on knee
Still awaiting on results, but If Warren misses time, Najee Harris gets a bump. That being said, we’ll probably just get more of Arthur Smith’s favorite player Cordarrelle Patterson.
Saquon Barkley is elite at football
Saquon is now the fantasy RB1 through the first three weeks of the season. Speed, power, pass-catching, playmaking - he’s showcasing it all. He was the correct pick at the 1-2 turn.
Dolphins offense stinks without Tua
Skylar Thompson is dealing with a rib injury, so it’s possible he’s not available next week. If it’s not him, let’s collectively pray that Tyler Huntley is up to speed so Tim Boyle isn’t behind center in Week 4.
