Trey Lance is a Dallas Cowboy! ðŸ¤
Plus, Sean Tucker is making waves in Buccaneers camp!
All of the most important fantasy news over the last 24 hours – all in one place.
49ers trade QB Trey Lance to the Cowboys in exchange for a 4th-round pick in 2024
Of all of the places that Lance could have landed, Dallas might have been one of the last spots anyone would have expected. While there’s no scenario outside of injury that would play out to give Lance any type of fantasy value this year, his dynasty value is quite intriguing now given that Dak Prescott has yet to sign an extension and will be a free agent after 2024. A lot of cards would have to fall just right for Lance to come out on top of the depth chart down the line, but it could be worth chasing on a good Cowboys offense. For the time being, Lance will likely be the Cowboys QB3. Dallas also has rights to his 5th-year option, which could keep Lance tied to the team through 2026 if they would choose to go that route.
Sean Tucker splits first team reps with Rachaad White in practice
Tucker went surprisingly undrafted this year, but landed in Tampa Bay as a free agent and has reportedly been shining in camp. While he did split first team reps with Rachaad White, it’s unlikely at this point that he eats very far into White’s workload. At the very least, White should have the receiving work in the Bucs offense locked up heading into 2023 – as a result, dealing with Sean Tucker at his heels in the ground game shouldn’t hurt White’s value or upside all too much.
